Labradoodle and Australian Labradoodle Breeders

Litter Registration
  1. Complete the Litter Registration form. Note: Before your litter is born, familiarize yourself with the information requested. Be sure your puppies are tattooed or microchipped – this information is mandatory.
  2. You must name each puppy even if you do not have a name use the dam or sire followed by the whelp date with no "/" and a, b, c... Lilly51106a, Lilly51106b, as transfers take place by the new owners they may change the name of the puppy with their transfer and membership.
  3. You will receive the following:
    • Certificate of Litter registration containing all pertinent information about the litter and each individual puppy
    • Individual Dog Registration certificates for each puppy to be given to the new owners.
  4. These are not Pedigree certificates
  5. When the new owner joins the ALAA, formally the ILA, (we hope that you request this of all your new owners), they will send the registration certificate, the transfer of ownership fee (paid by check or PayPal), and an e-mailed photo to the ILA registrar at registrar@ilainc.com.
  6. The new owner will receive a Certificate of Registration indicating owner with pedigree and photo, as well as a Transfer of Ownership form.
  7. With litter registrations, time is of the essence. Your litter will be processed and mailed back to you typically within two business days (assuming all stud information has been previously received).
  8. Faxing a litter registration saves time (the ILA fax is 309-418-9916).
  9. Sending in information forms on non-ILA stud dogs before the litter registration saves time as well.
  10. You should be able to deliver the ILA registration certificates along with your puppies.
  11. Litters must be registered within 90 days of whelping. Member breeders (those with a kennel prefix) need to register all Labradoodle litters with the ILA.
  12. Litter registrations require information on the stud and bitch. There are several scenarios for this:
    • If both dogs are already registered by the ILA, their dam and sire ILA numbers are all that is necessary, along with the signature of the stud owner and dates of whelping.
    • If the stud dog is not registered with the ILA, the breeder must additionally provide the ILA with the stud’s pedigree, a photo, medical test results, and a completed ILA Stud Dog Certificate. It can be mailed before the litter registration, along with the associated fee.
    • If you are a stud dog owner, you should e-mail the registrar at registrar@ilainc.com when your stud has mated with a non-ILA bitch. Information on the litter will be requested as well. A form for this will soon be accessible on the ILA website.
  13. Form to Register a Litter and Naming of Puppies (requires a kennel prefix) Stud owner needs to sign the form when breeding takes place. ILA numbers of both stud and bitch need to be included. Mail to registrar. *new fee schedule applies - check payment buttons below.
